I
found the biggest live spider I've ever personally seen (outside of a
zoo) near my backyard water faucet recently. It's probably almost four
inches at its longest point and very pretty... and creepy.
Yesterday I
also noticed that our local toads finally got busy and made some
tadpoles (they didn't have any babies all spring or summer this year!).
In any case, it'll be fun to watch the tiny toads emerge in a few weeks.
When they come out of the pond they're only about a centimeter in
length, and very cute.
